Maintains all pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation in the St. Paul complex. Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems for plan production/process equipment. Analyzes malfunctions of instruments and control systems and determines necessary steps to repair equipment. Sets up equipment for tests and measures accuracy of instruments used to record heat, pressure, magnetic resistance, other characteristics, etc. When trained and qualified, assists Power Plant personnel in following prescribed procedures and in emergencies as directed (i.e. steaming up and shutting down paper machines, stopping and starting wells, checking dryer temperatures, etc.). Must be available to work day, afternoon, and night shifts on a rotating basis.
Instrumentation Control Technician Journeyman. Two year electronics degree or equivalent formal training, one quarter of pneumatic controls and PLCs at a vocational college or equivalent training
Wage per hour $24.68 to $31.11 and benefit package.
